In the Spring of 2006 we were approached to buy ad space at the local movie theater. You know those slide shows and pretend entertainment info channels that loop in the theater while you're getting settled and waiting for the lights to go down? One of those.

Now of course, this seems a perfect fit for The Box Office Cafe. Problem is, we didn't want to bore anyone. (Let's be honest, short of getting the occasional trivia question right, is anyone really enjoying what's going on up onscreen?)

Our concept was to create an ad that looked like—as well as made fun of—a bloated summer action movie trailer.

It was also just a lot of fun to dress up as zombies and run around on the front lawn for two days. Which, ultimately, got more attention than the actual ad.

Just like our coffee, the trailer comes in SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE. (That's the size of the file, not the length of the trailer).
